Dear Mr. Weaver + Giveaway (Closed)
Hello Everyone,
For this
post I am working once again with the Killion Group, therefore I would like to
thank them and the author of Dear Mr. Weaver, Kit Morgan, for gave the chance
to participate on the Dear Mr. Weaver Book Blast.
And as you
can see on the right side, you have a link to a Giveaway of a $25 Amazon Gift
Card that´s happening thanks to this event.
So as I mentioned,
I am going to be talking about Dear Mr. Weaver, the first book in the Mail
Order Bride Ink series. This is the first book I read by Kit Morgan and I was
so entertaining while reading it. It has taken me longer than expected to read
it, but it was because I have no time, work is killing me.
So for
starters I will say that one of the things that I have enjoyed the most was how
the story was told. It starts with a job interview and then it jumps back to
the past and we met the real main characters of the story. As the name of the
series indicates this book is about a mail order bride; in this case Ebba. Once
we meet Ebba we can read her first contact with his groom-to-be and how one
little line can change everything.
The other
great thing about this book is how the author was able to keep things real. I
will not say that much because I wouldn´t like to spoil anything but as you
read it you will figurate what I am talking about; but I will sum thing up by
saying that there is not the annoying instalove that we are used to get in all
the romance novels.
The story
was great and it keep me interested for the whole book, but it´s not the kind
of book I have had stay up all night because I wat to read. However the story
has an appropriate rhythm though some stuff is kind of forced.
The main
issue I’ve had while reading this book has to be with the fact that English is
not my native language so the dialects of the different parts of the states are
kind of difficult for me. Meaning that even when it was so great to see some of
the characters having an unique way of speaking it took me a while to adjust to
it and fully understood. In fact I´ve had to reread some of the dialogues a
couple of times in order to fully comprehend.
Overall I would
recommend Dear Mr. Weaver. It´s a funny western-romance and it is ideal for
summer. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars.
And of
course here you have all the authors´ links in case you are interested on
contact her.
See you all
soon.
