Hey guys! Another Saturday and another review. And can we please acknowledge that fact that I have been posting on a consistent schedule. I know that for a while  have been absent but I thinks is safe to say that I am back to stay. And what better way to celebrate that with another review from the series that took over my life this past summer. If you are thinking that you are getting another review of a book by Taran Matharu in The Summoner series, let me tell you: “You are dammed right”. Today I will be talking about The Outcast, the prequel novella.  So if you have been visiting for then last weeks you probably show my reviews of the main trilogy in the Summoner Series. But just in case you want to check you can do it by clicking on each tile to see the review.  The Summoner The Inquisition The Battlemage This review will contain any spoiler regarding this book or any of the books in the series, so you can read until the end. And now without furt...

The Battlemage

Hey guys! It turns out that this week it´s the turn for that review that I was so excited about. Finally! If you have been following our Instagram this summer you will know that I enter a competition that was Harry Potter based in which reading book that were part of the same series will give you more points. Because I am all for the team and all for wining I decided that I would be reding a trilogy to get more points for my team. I chose The Summoner Trilogy because it have been on my shelves for quite some time and I really wanted to read it but never ended top picking it up.  It was a good choice, in fact it was a great choice but the thing is that now that I am done with the series I am mourning because I won’t be able to rediscover the world for the very first time ever againt. Nevertheless I am really happy to have read this series because now I have a new favorite and I will pick anything that Taran Matharu publishes.  But bought rambling and lets go to...

The Inquisition

Hey guys! Two weeks in a row posting in English. I think that definitely means that I am back, right? I mean I am trying because I really like to create content for everyone and I enjoy having followers from all around the world.  Today I want to talk about a book the blew my mind. If you read last week post you sure know what it is. Yeah, you guess it right:  I am going to be talking about The Inquisition, the second book in The Summoner trilogy. As per usual, this will be a spoiler free review but as its the second book in the series you might find some spoiler as for the first one. So if you haven’t read that one yet, please go and check that review to see if you would e interested in reading the book. Psst, spoiler alert, you will be.  Now without further ado, let's jump into the actual review.  The Inquisition starts one year after all the events from the first book. Fletcher has been imprisioned for a year with Ignatus as his sole companion. He...

The Novice

Hey guys! I am back and so are English reviews. Today's review its about a book that I loved and that highly recoment. I have been raving non-stop on Instagram and even got Erin from @the.word.traveler to buy the book because of my crazy fingerling. I will be talking about The Novice by Taran Matharu who seems to be pretty nice guy as he liked and commented on one of my instagram post.  I picked this book up because I am participating in a month along redathon in which by reading books that are part of a series you get more points than reading stand alones, so this was a pretty good way off getting as many points as possible for my team. I certainly was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. But those kind of suprises are always welcome.  The Novice tells the story of Fletcher an orphan boy who has been raised by the blacksmith of the town. He is given a book and he discovers the has the ability to summon demos, but as his first summoning doesn't go as...

The Unhoneymooners

¡Hola!

Only Human

¡Hola!

Daugther of the Pirate King

Image
Hey guys! Another Monday I am ready to tell you about my readings and today I will be talking about the first audiobook that I heart in English: Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller. I have been meaning to read this book for a while but never finding a paperback I have been refraining myself from buying it. At the end I have started a Scribd subscription and it was the first title I decided to listen to. I do no regret it. The story was entertaining and while in the beach it was perfect to be picturing ships and pirates. Plus, the narrator was great. This is not the first audiobook I heard, but those that I have listen were told in Spanish which is my mother tongue. In this book we follow Alosa, who is the daughter of the Pirate King himself. She has to infiltrate in an enemy ship in order to find a part of map that will lead the pirates to Isla de Canto. The island is a siren realm in which they keep riches from past ages.   So Alosa infiltrates the Nigh...

Jonathan Strange & Mr.Norrell

Image
Hey guys! Here I am bringing a new review all the way to your screens. Today I will be talking about one of the books that I brought with me to my vacations and that unfortunately disappointed me very much even when I do not consider the book to be bad or poorly written. The novel that I will be discussing today I Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell and certainly you can expect that I will write a review of the Tv show as soon as I am done with it. So, this book is the story of Mr. Norrell and Jonathan Strange, as I imagine you can gather from the title. And it’s about how this two people try to restore the magic, which have disappeared from England from the last 300 years. And barely anything else can be said about the book because few things happens despite the book having over 1000 pages. As I have said I am disappointed by the book because I was expecting so much more. I really don’t know why because the reviews that I have read are mixed and there is not really an agree...

A Conjuring of Light

Image
Hey guys! A couple of week ago I brought you all my review of A Gathering of Shadows by V.E Schwab and today I am bringing the review of the latest instalment of the series: A Conjuring of Light. And I think that the first thing that I must say is that I am very surprised by this book. It was everything I wanted it to be, but I didn’t know I wanted that. I know that I am not making myself very clear, but you will understand me better as I go on. Before continuing with this review, I must warn you: this will be a spoiler free review regarding A Conjuring of light but as it is the third book in the series you will find spoilers for both A DarkerShade of Magic and A Gathering of Shadows . If you have yet to read any of those you can read my reviews of those by clicking on the titles, but I will recommend you stop reading this review. If you proceed it´s entirely on you as I have warned you. A Conjuring of Light starts right were we left the story on the previous book. It wa...

The Poppy War

Image
Hey guys! As I promised I am back and this time I will   be talking about a book that completely blew my mind: The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. I know that at first the title of the book might seem funny as my friend Alicia have pointed out several times by now. But trust me this book is not funny but is everything you need if you love to read fantasy. In fact I did a review about this book in Spanish urging my language-mates to learn English if only to read this book. As I have said this is a fantasy book and I think it will be the perfect read for all the Brandon Sanderson lovers as well as for all the Patrick Rothfuss lovers. And this is the point of the review in which if you have been following the blog for a while you will definitely know that I am not messing about how amazing The Poppy War is: The Name of the Wind if my all-time-favourite book and if I say something is good compare to it, I really mean it. Nevertheless R.F.Kuang has a voice on her own and created ...

A Gathering of Shadows

Image
Hey guys! I know that I have been out of the English reviews for quite a while. But I am back!   Have been missing this review and the chances to talk to the international community. I have a full first semester of the year but hopefully I will have a more tranquil second one. And what a better way to be back than by writing a review about A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab? Before you continue reading please note that this is the second instalment in the Darker Shades of Magic Trilogy and there will be spoilers with regard to the first book. If you haven’t read the first one yet, I will recommend for you to check my review on that one by clicking here and then if you please go and read the book. Now that everyone is warned I can proceed with my review. A gathering of shadows picks the story four months after the events of the first book and all the characters are dealing with the aftermath of what happen. Lila is adapting to a new world and learning how to functio...
