The Name of the Book

¡Wow! Creo que eso es lo que mejor define la lectura de  Between the Pages of the Lost Library para el mes de febrero. Para los que no lo sepan, es un club de lectura en el que Noe, del blog Entre Páginas y Letras y yo co-organizamos y, en el que cada mes leemos un libro distinto. Os dejo la reseña de Noe por aquí y nuestros comentarios en el blog conjunto aquí . Pero de cualquier manera al final os dejaré los links a todo: redes sociales, blogs y reseñas. Este mes elegimos leer Seis de Cuervos de Leigh Bardugo y, la verdad es que estoy encantada con nuestra elección. Creo que de los libros que hemos leído conjuntamente para el club de lectura, este es sin lugar a ninguna duda mi favorito. Esta historia no es la típica historia fantástica de héroes y villanos. Para empezar sigues a personajes que no son héroes. Son ladrones, timadores y asesinos; pero no por eso te llegan a importar menos o les llegas a tener menos cariño, porque la verdad es que terminas el libro adora

I´ve known for a while that Diana Gabaldon is one hell of a writer but after reading voyager I am more sure of it, if that´s even possible. Writing one good book is hard, writing to good books harder… Three within the same saga is a charm. I know that there is a huge number of good sagas but let´s be honest, if it was easy all of us will be published authors. Before I go on with the review I am warming you: this review will be spoiler free regarding the third book but it may contain some spoilers from the previous books. Que Diana Gabaldon es una buena escritora es una cosa que tenía clara, pero que tras leer Viajera se ha reafirmado aún más si cabe. Escribir un libro bueno, es una cosa bastante difícil, escribir dos… Pero tres, de una misma saga, es una cosa increíble. Sí, ya sé que hay muchas sagas muy buenas pero, la verdad es que solo hay un puñado de escritores, si fuera una cosa sencilla sería algo que todos haríamos. Antes de seguir con la reseña aviso de que aunque no contendrá spoilers del propio libro sí que lo hará de los dos anteriores, de manera que si no los habéis leído os recomiendo que leáis mis reseñas de Forastera y Atrapada en el Tiempo (a las que podéis acceder pinchando en el titilo de cada uno de los libros) y, por supuesto que leáis los libros. Today’s post it´s about a book with a pretty cover that I´ve been seeing everywhere for almost a year and I have been dying to read: Rebel of the Sands. Rebel of the Sands tells the story about a girl called Amani that lives in a little desert town. In which weapons are a normal thing, in fact the produce them. Amani lives with her uncle who, apparently wants to marry her and, of or course she wants to escape from this city. If you have been here for a while you might know that I love Pierce Brown books. Last year I re-read Red Rising and this year I decided to re-read Golden Son in preparation of Morning Star coming out in Spain. I know I could have read this book a year ago, but I like to read in paper and I wanted the book matching with the other two, so I have been waiting for it. Una semana más aquí estoy y, la entrada de hoy es un tag literario que combina dos cosas que me encantan libros y series. I was really looking forward to read this book and, as you might know my friend Noe and I have an online book club and this was the book for the month of January. Dorothy must die! Had been under my radar for quite some time and be able to finally read it was really nice. Specially because it was one of the few books that did not disappointed me in January. The story it´s amazing and it´s a: “What happened in Oz after the happily ever after?”. The answer is quite easy: Dorothy found a way back and became a tyrant. Hola a Tod@s: Hoy, aunque sea fuera de mis días habituales de publicación os traigo la reseña de Una conexión ilógica de John Corey Whaley. Antes de empezar, quiero agradecer a la editorial, por darme una copia para reseñar. Y, ahora sin más dilación, empecemos a hablar del libro. Lo primero que quiero destacar es que creo que trata de temas importantes, como la amistad y las relaciones. Pero, el más importante, es la salud mental, de la que no se habla con tanta frecuencia porque es un tema que esta bastante estigmatizado y, sobre el que además de mucho desconocimiento hay bastante vergüenza. El libro me ha encantado. Se cuenta desde el punto de vista de dos personajes Lisa y Solomon y, los capítulos se van alternando. Sobre la primera decir que, aunque en un principio no me gustó demasiado, a medida que iba avanzado iba viendo su crecimiento como personaje y, terminó callándome bien. Sobre Solomon, tengo que decir que me ha encantado; si bien es cierto que es una persona

Que Cassandra Clare es una buena escritora es un hecho innegable y, muchos podrían achacarlo al hecho de los cientos de miles de libros que ha vendido por todo el mundo. Yo, sin embargo, lo achaco al hecho de que es capaz de entremezclar historias sin aparente relación alguna y, al mismo tiempo dar detalles importantes sin que seas consciente de que los estas recibiendo hasta que lo que sea que tiene que pasar esta delante de tus narices. La verdad es que Ciudad del Fuego Celestial es un buen libro en más de un sentido. Es un buen cierre para la historia, a pesar de que tras el tercer libro todo podría haber quedado perfectamente cerrado. Clary demuestra lo mucho que ha crecido, todos los personajes lo hacen y, por una vez no todo en el libro gira en torno a por qué  Jace hace mal las cosas. Ojo que con esto no digo que no haga nada mal en el libro. Pero sin lugar a ninguna duda, lo mejor de Ciudad del Fuego Celestial es la brillante manera en la que Cassandra Clare introduce

Hey guys! It´s been a month since I came back home and as you have may notice the post are following once again a schedule. And I am back to reading though, not as the same rhythm that I was last year; I could, but I have decided not to. I read because it is my hobby, not an obligation and last year I felt like I need to read not for fun but for review. So, I am going to be reading whenever I have time and because I want to.
